Faculty and Staff Development (August - September)

  • Willie C. Buclatin and Mary Joyce P. Alcazar from the Department of Industrial Engineering and Technology and Gerry M. Castillo and Aivar M. Lopez from the Department of Agricultural and Food Engineering, attended the Forum on Healthcare: Application of Mathematical Modeling and  Quantitative Methods in Improving Healthcare Decision Making at Leong Hall, Loyola Schools, Ateneo de Manila University, Loyola Heights, Quezon City on 25 August 2012. The forum was sponsored by the Operations Research Society of the Philippines.
  • Willie C. Buclatin and Mary Joyce P. Alcazar attended the Symposium on Air Pollution and Worker Safety at Mapua Institute of Technology - Makati on 27 August 2012. The symposium was sponsored by the Human Factor/Ergonomics Society of the Philippines.
  • Willie C. Buclatin and Mary Joyce P. Alcazar attended the 4th Southern Tagalog Industrial Engineering Seminar at UP Los Banos on 1 September 2012.
  • ECE faculty from the Department of Computer and Electronics Engineering (DCEE), namely: Edwin R. Arboleda, Mark S. Canete, Michael T. Costa and Nemelyn A. Fadchar conducted a studio tour at ABS-CBN on 18 September 2012.
  • Willie C. Buclatin, Mary Joyce P. Alcazar, Gerry M. Castillo and Aivar M. Lopez attended the IEShikawa7 Beating the Odds: Optimizing Potentials of Industrial Engineers at UP Diliman, Quezon City on 22 September 2012.
  • Dr. Marilyn M. Escobar, professor from the Department of Agricultural and Food Engineering, attended the DOST CALABARZON-sponsored Trainer’s Training on Basic Food Hygiene and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for LGU- Silang, Cavite at CAFFMACO, Bypass Road, Silang, Cavite on 19-22 September 2012.
  • Dr. David L. Cero, Mr. Willie C. Buclatin and Ms. Rhodora V. Nuestro served as resource speakers during the Orientation-Seminar on the New Form and Style for Student Feasibility Studies at the CvSU-Rosario Campus on 27 September 2012.
  • Ms. Poinsettia A. Vida served as resource speaker on Android Technology at STI Bacoor on 27 September 2012.
