More than 50 faculty members and on-the-job training (OJT) students of the College of Engineering and Information Technology went to Barangay Alulod in Indang, Cavite to conduct the community needs assessment on 9 May 2012. The activity aimed to determine the profile and needs of the barangay so the College could design extension activities that would truly address the needs of the community.
The group was divided into eight teams to cover the six puroks and two big sitios of the barangay. Each team was accompanied by a barangay kagawad or tanod. Dr. David L. Cero, Research, Development and Extension coordinator of the College, interviewed some barangay officials headed by its chairman Mr. Norberto S. Ersando. More than 600 respondents were interviewed during this activity.
